A window system with a wide range of options to suit the needs of the most luxurious of homes, office, hotel or factory. Utilising the inherent strength of aluminium to offer slim elegant sight lines that are attractive to the eye to produce windows that let in the maximum of light.
Scope:This specification covers material that conform to BS 4873, the specification for aluminium windows. Hardware:Cock spur handles or espagnolette locks may be used. Vents are hung on 13mm stack height friction hinges.
Material:Extruded aluminium is Alloy 6063.T6 to BS EN 755-9:2001. Gaskets are manufactured to BS 7412. Finish:Polyester powder coating is to BS 6496, 1984 to the full RAL range available. Etched and anodized to BS 3987, 1974 and BS 1615, 1987. Mill finish is available.
Glazing:Double glazing units of 28mm may be fitted to this window system. The system is glazed externally. Beads and gaskets on all four sides within full depth rebates retain the glass. For additional security, wedge gaskets are always inserted from the inside. Drainage is to the exterior via slots. Construction:Constructed using mildred and mechanically crimped corners, utilizing extruded corner cleats and pressed chevrons. Corners and joints sealed with a sealant and fixed screw. Integral transoms and mullions are also rebated.
Installation:The window is fixed to concrete, brickwork and most sound surrounds using standard methods. It can also be fitted into a fabricated sub frame if it is required prior to window installation.
